Uniting Families and Cultures through African Cuisine and Art
Welcome to Miya Lounge and Restaurant, where every dish tells a story of rich heritage and vibrant culture. Our journey began with a passion for sharing the flavors of Africa in our home, rooted in a deep love for our culture.
Our founders, Beatrice Asafor (Who is of late) May her soul rest in peace & Calisma Asafor, are from Cameroon. Calisma Asafor learned the art of cooking from her mother (Beatrice) and grandmother (Helen). From a young age, she was captivated by the aromas wafting from the kitchen and the joy that food brought to her community. Each meal was a celebration of life, family, and tradition.

After travelling for hours to get Cameroon food we found this spot. The food was so good and the service was excellent. I ate and even took some home

Good People!! This West African spot sent a message out on their Instagram in hopes to get some foot traffic. They are at risk of shutting down. When I saw that..pulled up!! I’m with @cousinkim_ & @leauxlaa too!!

The food was a 10/10. My fiancé and I both had the beef suya bowls which included jollof rice, collard greens, spinach and plantains, soooo delicious! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for the egusi soup and suya pizza.

Being from out of town this was a pleasant surprise! The menu was filled with African dishes that are very popular. The price is fair especially because of the portions they give. My suya tacos were good and a delightful. I highly recommended stopping in for a midday meal.
